I know I’m a bit late to this post, but I stumbled across it though google… and I’m curious, how long is a typical roof warranty good for?

I mean, the average roof can go 10-20 years before it gets replaced. So is the warranty more of a long term investment; or is it simply there to insure nothing goes wrong immediately… so you can have confidence that it was installed properly?
